Up there with eating right and watching nature videos, going to the gym and getting a good night’s rest are both vitally important for maintaining your health.
That’s why a British gym decided to mix them together and started offering “napercise” classes. If that sounds awfully strange to you, don’t worry: they look to be on par with what the area’s best pre-k schools have to offer.
A fitness ploy by David Lloyd Gyms, the 45-minute group classes are held in the middle of the afternoon in rooms that have been optimized to the ideal temperature for sleep. To help them nap, participants receive blankets, a sleep mask and a single bed. The rest is up to them.
Designed to “reinvigorate the mind, the body and even burn the odd calorie,” the napercise classes are meant for sleep-deprived parents but anyone who’s interested can sign up.
Unfortunately, they’re booked up and only offered in the U.K.
Will they come to U.S.? You can only dream.
