Filson and the US Forest Service Will Make a Duffel Guy of You Yet

When is a partnership too good to be true?

Now here’s a project we can get behind: a 17-piece collaboration between Filson and the United States Forest Service — with a portion of the proceeds going to raise awareness about all the good the USFS does for American forests.

If there was ever a time to work feverishly, without end, to protect America’s natural lands, it’s now — when decades of environmentally friendly legislation is newly under threat. If you don’t remember a time before the Environmental Protection Agency, here’s a picture. There’s a host of fresh threats (sample op-ed headline: “Trump’s plan to put fragile national monuments in danger.”)

Buying into the Filson collab is one way to help — and one that’s particularly self-serving (in a good way). The whole collection is worth checking out — but pay special attention to this hard-wearing, 100-percent-twill (and bridle leather) duffel bag. It’s a winner, and one of the handsomest ways to support our natural resources that we’ve seen in a while.
