After some Instagram sleuths began connecting the dots between them last week, Tim Tebow confirmed he is dating Miss Universe 2017, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters.
A native of South Africa, Nel-Peters now resides in New York City while Tebow is also in New York, but upstate playing for the Binghamton Rumble Ponies.
Despite the distance, the two have found a way to spend some time together and are serious enough that Tebow confirmed they are dating while talking to ESPN’s Pedro Gomez.
“She is a really special girl and I am very lucky and blessed for her coming into my life,” Tebow told Gomez. “I am usually very private with these things but I am very thankful.”
Tebow, 30, gave the 23-year-old a David Yurman necklace for her birthday last month.
Nel-Peters has yet to publicly speak about the relationship or post about it on Instagram, but she’s not shy about sharing other things on social media.
