A 7-1 Mets loss to the Milwaukee Brewers at New York’s Citi Field took a surreal turn when Mr. Met gave a fan the finger. And in the latest embarrassing chapter on an unraveling season, the obscene gesture was filmed.
Despite the defense that Mr. Met does not technically have a middle finger, the Mets have apologized: “We do not condone this type of behavior. We are dealing with this matter internally.”
