According to a report from Us Weekly, Maroon 5 is having difficulty recruiting other acts to their team for the Super Bowl halftime show.
The reason for the difficulty is a number of acts who could play the gig with Adam Levine and company are reluctant to do so because of the lingering controversy surrounding Colin Kaepernick.
A source told the publication the band “is having a lot of trouble finding guests” to perform with them at the big game on February 3 in Atlanta.
According to the source, “no one wants to associate themselves with the NFL” due to the situation with Kaepernick.
Cardi B was rumored to be considering joining Maroon 5 on Super Sunday, but “she’s been going back and forth” on taking the stage with the band.
Unfortunately for Levine and his bandmates, “as of today, she’s not.”
