The next time you look in the mirror and say, “Man, I look good,” it might just say something back to you. According to Thrillist, new company Duo is offering a 27-inch HD touchscreen mirror that comes with an integrated AI assistant.
Duo answers all the stuff Siri or Alexa might, but it’s a functional, stylish room-tying-together piece, rather than a pocket-sized device or something that looks like a Roomba’s cousin. It mounts right onto the wall and weighs less than 10 pounds.
Sounds cool and prohibitively expensive, right? Wrong. According to the company, they’ll start off with a 1,000-unit run at a $399 price-point (quite a bit less than a new iPhone). Once that sells out, the Duo will be raised to $500.
