On a recent politically-themed episode of The View, former Vice President Joe Biden and Meghan McCain, one of the program’s panelists, were brought together because they share an unfortunate commonality: They both love people who were diagnosed with a specific and aggressive type of brain cancer. McCain’s father John, the Republican senator from Arizona, was diagnosed with glioblastoma six months ago. Biden’s son Beau died in 2015 of this same disease.
