Jennifer Lawrence is a Living Weapon in ‘Red Sparrow’

She was once a prima ballerina. Now, she's a master of psychological manipulation.

Jennifer Lawrence plays a master of psychological manipulation in her newest role as a prima ballerina who is determined to protect her mother at all costs. In Red Sparrow, Lawrence reunites with Hunger Games franchise director Francis Lawrence through her role as Dominika Egorova. She goes from ballerina to living weapon and master manipulator after an injury destroys her career. Egorova attends the Sparrow School, which puts her through sadistic training. Once on the other side, she must reconcile with who she was and the power that she now wields.

The movie also stars Joel Edgerton, Matthias Schoenaerts, Mary-Louise Parker, and Jeremy Irons. It was based on a screenplay by Justin Haythe, who adapted the work from Jason Matthews’ book. Check out the trailer below.
