Pebbles and Twigs Are No Match for This Land Rover Defender

There are toys, then there's the TRX-4 Scale and Trail Crawler

Due to the constraints of supply and demand, or just not having $70,000 lying around, owning a Land Rover Defender may seem like a pipe dream.

It turns out ownership is more attainable than you think, as long as you’re content with a compact model.

How compact are we talking?

Approximately one-tenth the size of a full-capacity SUV. That said, don’t let the petite size of the Traxxas TRX-4 Scale and Trail Crawler fool you. The remote-controlled off-roader is designed to do big things.

With a heavy-duty steel frame with molded cross members, waterproof electronics system and oil-filled coil-over GTS shocks, the Scale and Trail Crawler features front and rear differentials that can be adjusted remotely using its controller and a high/low range transmission.

Adding to the fun, besides the realistic lights, mirrors and bumpers, is a powerful 21T Titan motor that provides torque, speed and can run for up to two hours on a single charge.

At $450, the mini model ain’t cheap, but it is still $69,550 less than one of its big brothers.
