Can’t Hear You Over the Sound of the DODGE VIPER ENGINE in This Jeep

No one Wrangler should have all this power

Up until today, we figured the only reason to consider paying a penny over the MSRP for a used Jeep Wrangler was if it was riding on 44-inch Pit Bull Rocker tires and named Rattletrap.

Turns out, we were wrong.

Now we know that it would also be worth it to shell out a little extra for a classic Wrangler — provided it’s packing a Viper engine like this 2005 one-off has.

It’s tight, but the folks at Illinois-based The Last Detail were able cram an 8.3-liter V10 packing more than 500 ponies into the build. Mated to a 48RE automatic transmission and custom-built RockTrac transfer case, the Viper pairs quite nicely with the Wrangler’s redone suspension and modified brake system.

Riding on a quartet of 20-inch wheels wrapped in Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ tires, the Jeep is currently priced at $52,000, although Last Detail says it would take more $100,000 to replicate the “no-expense-spared build” today.

We’d still probably go with the Rattletrap over the Viper-infused model, but if you feel differently here’s the eBay listing.
