If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again — and then try again another 31 times.

That’s essentially the recipe for success that Jaguar followed to introduce its new E-Pace model to the world by getting the electric SUV to set a Guinness World Record for the “Furthest Barrel Roll in a Production Vehicle” in history (which of course is a record everyone knows about).

Joking aside, as the above documentary highlights, it is pretty amazing that it genuinely took six months of planning to pull off a 55-foot jump that was over and done with in 1.5 seconds.

“As far as I am aware no production car has ever completed a bona-fide barrel roll and it has always been an ambition of mine to perform one ever since I was a boy,” said stunt driver Terry Grant. “After driving the Jaguar F-PACE in the record-breaking loop-the-loop, it’s been amazing to help launch the next chapter of the PACE family in an even more dramatic dynamic feat.”
